We had a great experience with Nez and our 3 year old corgi, his reactivity issues and overall obedience. We were lacking the tools and techniques on how best to communicate to him what behaviour we what from him in particular circumstances and Nez gave them all to us. She’s looking at a whole dog and understanding their personalities and how best to approach them. We feel much more confident knowing what we should be doing now and we understand it’s a long term game, but the comfort in knowing how to manage particular situations feels amazing. Working with Nez has made an incredible difference in my relationship with my kelpie x pup Olive. Prior to completing the premium program, I was at odds with managing her overstimulation and reactivity, and was especially dreading walks. She had very selective recall and letting her off lead was a gamble of whether I could get her back... I loved that Nez focused our training on creating a communication system between human and dog. I realised not having a clear way to communicate with Olive was the crux of my overwhelm. Nez identified this, and over the 10-week program we worked on developing a way for me to understand Olive and for Olive to understand me. Olive has grown in confidence, enthusiasm and focus. She now walks on a loose lead with ease, her recall is guaranteed and at home she is less like velcro and more happily independent. I am incredibly grateful to Nez and cannot recommend her more! So glad we engaged with Nez for help with our schnauzer, Freddie! We had noticed some signs of resource guarding which needed addressing, along with our main goal, for our two cats and dog to coexist and it’s finally looking achievable with her calm and clear guidance. She’s also been fantastic with her techniques for engagement and confidence building, which we have learnt at Nez’s group classes. Freddie was nervous, erratic and reactive, now he is learning to be calmer and look to me for guidance. As well as the group classes, we’ve attended Happy Chappys free monthly pack walks, where we can put our life skills to the test in a safe space with like minded dog owners.
